D4 Chart: Caturthāṁśa
When we divide the rāśi into four parts we have four divisions measuring 7°30’ each. These map into the kendra from every rāśi and are called caturthāṁśa when reckoned regular and direct from the sign. For example, the first caturthāṁśa for Pisces is Pisces, second is Gemini, third is Virgo and the fourth is Sagittarius. Such a reckoning brings the focus to the first physical level related to the fourth bhāva which is property and lands.
D4-V Chart: Turyāṁśa (Vedāṁśa)
However, we also have a secret way of determining a special D4 Chart called the Vedāṁśa or Turyāṁśa.
Since the kendra relate to Bhagavan Viṣṇu, these are also the contributor of bhāgya (destiny, fortune) of the native. Further, the there are four Vedas and Brahma with his four heads sings the four Vedas in the four gāyatrī of the day. A very fine introduction to the D4-V Chart and its usage.
