शुभषष्टयंशसंयुक्ता ग्रहाः शुभफलप्रदाः।
क्रूरषष्ट्यंशासंयुक्ता नाशयन्ति खचारिणः॥ ४१॥
śubhaṣaṣṭayaṁśasaṁyuktā grahāḥ śubhaphalapradāḥ |
krūraṣaṣṭyaṁśāsaṁyuktā nāśayanti khacāriṇaḥ || 41||
Translation: When planets occupy śubha (auspicious) ṣaṣṭiāṁśa, they give very good results (due to their beneficence). When they occupy krūra (malefic) ṣaṣṭiāṁśa, they are destroyed (and their maleficence is felt).
  1. The devatā do not decide whether a ṣaṣṭiāṁśa is saumya or krūra (benefic or malefic). The devatā is only the agent of God.
  2. The planets and their dignity in signs and houses in D60 Chart decides the beneficence or maleficence of the devatā. Planets indicate the karma of past life upon which the devatā acts.
  3. Krūra graha, krūra bhāva, krūra devatā is the worst combination; mṛdu devatā would be less willing to harm
  4. Generally two words ‘mṛdu’ (soft, good, benevolent) and krūra (harsh, challenging, malefic) are used to describe ṣaṣṭiāṁśa and devatā

What are the implications and how do we actually use all this? We learn this in the Video Lessons.
