These are my personal notes made when learning navāṁśa which we share with you. The topics included in the slides are meant to give clarity in the system taught by Maharṣi Parāśara.
We start with Maraṇa Kāraka Sthāna of planets, acronym MKS. These are positions of planets in which they are in a state of dying or preparation for death. In such a state the planet will definitely give to the native as dying people realise that it is futile to cling on to the material world. It can also indicate much suffering to the bhāva associated owned by the planets. For example, President George Bush Jr. had the Sun, significator for father, in maraṇa kāraka sthāna in 12th house. It shows that he would benefit a lot from the great support he would receive from his father. Every time something was ending in his life, his father was there to support him and finally he followed his father’s footsteps, and just like his father George Bush Sr., he too became the US President. However, the Sun rules the 2nd house of speech in his chart and his speech became the subject of ridicule – called “Bushism”. What does this mean in the navāṁśa?
Thereafter we study Navāṁśa kendra and examine the different Bhāva concepts and why only the Parāśara Bhāva correctly maps to the navāṁśa Kendra.
An independent study of the kendra including case studies of stigmata. We finally end with Khara Navāṁśa.
